There are 6 species of trees on site including: Cottonwood, Willow, Boxelder, Bur Oak, Ponderosa Pine, and Green Ash. As depicted on the mitigation plan, a total of 13 trees are to be removed and 86 to remain or be transplanted. The reason for tree removal is due to the proposed development of Enclave at Redwood. The following trees are proposed to be removed: Tree #28, #29 #30, #31, #32, #33, #34, #35, #36, #37, #38, #39, #40 (as associated with the Tree Mitigation List on the Tree Mitigation Plan). Further explanation for the removal of these trees is found below. Tree #: 28 A cottonwood in fair+ condition to be removed due to expansion of the detention pond. 29 A cottonwood in fair+ condition to be removed due to expansion of the detention pond. 30 A cottonwood in fair condition to be removed due to expansion of the detention pond. 31 A bur oak in fair condition to be removed due to expansion of the detention pond. 32 A bur oak in fair condition to be removed due to expansion of the detention pond. 33 A bur oak in poor condition to be removed due to expansion of the detention pond. 34 A bur oak in poor condition to be removed due to expansion of the detention pond. 35 A bur oak in poor condition to be removed due to expansion of the detention pond. 36 A bur oak in poor condition to be removed due to expansion of the detention pond. 37 A ponderosa pine in fair condition to be removed due to expansion of the detention pond. 38 A ponderosa pine in fair condition to be removed due to expansion of the detention pond. 39 A bur oak in poor condition to be removed due to expansion of the detention pond. A more detailed depiction of the location of trees which are being removed in relation to the proposed site plan can be found on the Mitigation Plan included in this submittal. To mitigate for the removed trees which have been deemed to provide significant value by the City Forester, replacement trees will be provided at the increased size per Division 3.2.1 (F)(1) of the Fort Collins Land Use Code.
