Dear Ms. Bethurem Harras:
The Board of Directors of the Lake Canal Company have reviewed the plans and met with
the developers for the Powerhouse 2 project. The existing ditch easement is 50 feet measured from
the centerline of the ditch. Initial discussions would provide for the outdoor classroom to encroach
on the existing easement but remain outside a 15-foot drivable access path through the
development, to be measured from the top of the ditch bank. This drivable access will remain
unobstructed and will require a curb cut for access over the small portion of the Jerome Street Trail
also located within the easement.
Lake Canal is agreeable to the proposed modification listed above and shown on the
preliminary plans and will continue to work with the developer to reach final agreement. This
letter of intent in non-binding and may be revoked at any time.
