Heidi called Mindy Gottsegen at the Colorado State Land Board (CSLB) for information on
potential properties available for prairie dog relocation, since at a recent conference she had
mentioned one if their properties was a recent relocation site for an RTD project. She let me
know that the CSLB was no longer going to be allowing prairie dog relocations on their
properties due the pushback they received from local rural neighbors. She also provided me
with a referral to Lindsay Sterling-Krank with the Humane Society who has been developing
tools to assist with prairie dog conflict resolution, in case Lindsay could provide me with any
additional resources.
