FINAL DRAINAGE REPORT
GATEWAY TO HARMONY ROAD P.U.D. THIRD FILING
SITE LOCATION: The site is located at the northwest corner of the.
intersection of South College Avenue and West Harmony Road. The property
is north of the existing McDonalds Restaurant.
EXISTING CONDITIONS: The site is 0.92 acres. The existing site slopes
west to east about 1.8%. There is no vegitation on the site. There
are three large cottonwood trees in the northeast corner of the site.
DESIGN: This Third Filing is part of the original drainage report for
the. Gateway To Harmony Road P.U.D., completed May 1, 1989, by Stewart
and Associates, Inc. This Third Filing redesigns sub-basins 'B' and
'C' as shown on the original plan into sub-basins "B"," C", and "H".
The remainder of the sub-basins did not change, therefore no revisions
are required on them. ,
The original sub-basins 'B' and 'C' had an area of 0.92 acres, a combined
detention pond capacity of 8900. cubic feet; and a total release rate
of 0.47 c.f.s.
The total area of the Third Filing i.s the same as the area of the original
sub-basins 'B' and 'C' the required volume and release rate will be the
same. The required volume is 6920 cubic feet. The required total release
rate is 0.47 c.f.s.
Required detention for pond "B" is 4082 cubic feet; for pond "C" is 1418
cubic feet; and for pond "H" is 1418 cubic feet. The designed detention
for pond B is 4395 cubic feet; for pond "C" is 1283 cubic feet, and for
pond "H" is 1418 cubic feet. Ponds "B" and "H" exceed or equal the
required detention. Pond "C" is 135 cubic feet short of the required
detention but the overflow will be to Pond "B" which can handle it.
The release rate for pond "B" is 0.27 c.f. s. , for pond "C" is 0.10 c.f.s.,
and for pond "H" is 0.10 c.f.s. Each pond will have a restriction plate
placed over the outlet pipe to control the rate of release.
A copy of the original report along with the new calculations are included
with this report.
