5.CONTRACTOR IS ENCOURAGED TO PERFORM DEMOLITION IN A MANNER THAT
MAXIMIZES SALVAGE, RE-USE, AND RECYCLING OF MATERIALS. THIS INCLUDES
APPROPRIATE SORTING AND STORING. IN PARTICULAR, DEMOLISHED CONCRETE,
ASPHALT, AND BASE COURSE SHOULD BE RECYCLED IF POSSIBLE. THE CITY OF
FORT COLLINS STREET DEPARTMENT OPERATES A CRUSHING OPERATION THAT
WILL ACCEPT CONCRETE MATERIAL AT NO COST FOR CRUSHING AND RE-USE AS
RECYCLED AGGREGATE. THIS OPERATION IS LOCATED AT 1380 HOFFMAN MILL
ROAD AND CAN BE REACHED AT (970) 482-1249.
6.LIMITS OF STREET CUT ARE APPROXIMATE. FINAL LIMITS ARE TO BE DETERMINED IN
THE FIELD BY THE CITY ENGINEERING INSPECTOR. ALL REPAIRS TO BE IN
ACCORDANCE WITH CITY STREET REPAIR STANDARDS.
7.CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY NECESSARY FIELD LOCATES AND
POTHOLING OF SUBSURFACE UTILITIES. ENGINEER AND CITY SHALL BE NOTIFIED
OF ANY POTENTIAL CONFLICTS.
8.THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR FIELD LOCATING AND VERIFYING
ELEVATIONS OF ALL EXISTING SEWER MAINS, WATER MAINS, CURBS, GUTTERS AND
OTHER UTILITIES AT THE POINTS OF CONNECTION SHOWN ON THE PLANS, AND AT
ANY UTILITY CROSSINGS PRIOR TO INSTALLING ANY OF THE NEW IMPROVEMENTS.
IF A CONFLICT EXISTS AND/OR A DESIGN MODIFICATION IS REQUIRED, THE
CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH THE ENGINEER TO MODIFY THE DESIGN.
9.ANY DAMAGED CURB, GUTTER AND SIDEWALK EXISTING PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION,
AS WELL AS STREETS, SIDEWALKS, CURBS AND GUTTER, DESTROYED, DAMAGED
