HomeMy WebLinkAboutSILVER OAKS - AMENDED OVERALL DEVELOPMENT PLAN - 14-88E - CORRESPONDENCE - CORRESPONDENCE-NEIGHBORHOOD MEETINGCommune Planning and Environmental Wces Planning Department City of Fort Collins June 26, 1992 Dear Resident: On Tuesday, July 7, 1992, from 7:00 - 9:00 P.M., at the Fellowship Bible Church*, 2550 South Taft Hill Road, the City of Fort Collins Planning Department will hold a neighborhood information meeting to discuss a proposed development in your neighborhood. The project is known as Silver Oaks. It is located on 41 acres of land adjacent to the Olander Elementary School. The site is bounded on the east by Taft Hill Road, on the south by Horsetooth Road, and on the west by a line that approximates the alignment of Moore Lane. The northerly line is defined by the Scavo property which contains the heavy concentration of existing trees. The site was approved in April 1988 for a project then referred to as Horsetooth West Master Plan. The proposed Silver Oaks would be a change that increases the amount of single family homes and reduces the amount of land area designated for commercial uses. The applicant is Tri-Trend Homes. This is the same developer that constructed the Rossborough Subdivision on the east side of Taft Hill Road and north of Horsetooth Road. Tri-Trend is proposing to develop approximately 144 single family homes. In addition, these would be about five acres of commercial along Taft Hill Road, and an unspecified amount of area set aside for multi -family housing located next to the commercial parcel. Both the Planning and Zoning Board and the City Planning Staff consider your input on this matter, as well as your neighbor's input, an extremely important element in the City's review of this proposal. If you are unable to attend this informational meeting, written comments are welcome. This letter has been sent as a courtesy to all property owners of record within 1000 feet of the area based on current County Assessor's records.
