Co. 80525 RE: Horsetooth Rd. Utilitv Section Dear Sir: Mountain Bell A USWEST COMPANY Althouqh I don't see anv insurmountable problems in the attached plan for today. I do see some significant utility reinforcement problems. in the future. As this plan does not appear to take future utility reinforcement into consideration, there could be requests for additional easements. Just as the city looks at major arterials for future traffic load. We as utilities -re required to size for the forecasted future, or if economical. the ultimate. However with the almost constant change in plans and densities, sizing for the ultimate becomes almost impossible. When utilities are confronted with restrictive corridors, and more and more of the usable space is taken up with street, sidewalk and landscaping, the only alternatives are additional easement or higher cost to the developer as utilities are required to place facilities today to accommodate any future potential.
