HomeMy WebLinkAboutHUGH M WOODS PUD - PRELIMINARY - 26-88D - CORRESPONDENCE - CORRESPONDENCE-NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING (2)COMMA Planning and Environmental Onces Planning Department July 29, 1994 Dear Resident: On Thursday, August 11, 1994 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Foothills -Gateway Rehabilitation Center`, 301 East Skyway Drive, the City of Fort Collins Planning Department will conduct a neighborhood information meeting to discuss a development proposal in your neighborhood. The potential developer, Payless Cashways, Inc., is proposing a Hugh N. Woods Home Improvement Center that could contain 73,500 square feet of retail sales/warehouse and 65,000 square feet of associated work/storage space on 12.2 acres. The project is located at the southwest corner of South College Avenue and Skyway Drive (please see map on back side of this letter). The property is presently zoned bp, Planned Business with a Planned Unit Development condition attached. The purpose of this meeting on August I Ith is to give all participants the opportunity to ask questions of the developer and express their concerns in an informal setting that will not result in any final decisions. This is a follow-up meeting, at the applicant's request, to the first one that was held on July 20th at the same location. Any modifications to the original plan presented at that meeting will be described by the applicant and consultants at this upcoming meeting. A representative of the City Planning Department will be present to respond to questions about City policies and regulations and to take minutes of the meeting. No formal development submittal to the City has been made by the developer at this time. Development requests must go through the City's 9-week review process, with all final decisions being given by the Planning and Zoning Board in a public hearing. The list of affected property owners for this public information meeting is derived from official records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between home occupancy and record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected property owners may have been missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbor of this pending meeting so all neighbors may have the opportunity to attend. If you are unable to attend this meeting, written comments are welcome.
