Dear Ted, FT. COLLINS, CO 80525

Attached is Hewlett Packard's application for the new Genesis IV fabrication FAX 970 223-1827
facility for the Fort Collins campus. Attached you will find the required
application materials.
Outlined below I have responded to each of the comments raised in the
original Conceptual Review meeting on September 29,1997. The numbers
of our responses match the items in your letter.
1. The proposed new facility will be less than 25 % of the total floor
area of the entire HP property and therefore would meet the
requirements for a Minor Amendment. We also have included with
this application the information required for a special height review.
2. We recognize that FCLP will be serving this property and have met
with Allen Boushee to discuss specific requirements. HP and FCLP
have agreed on a plan for power. IDC/HP are working w/ FCLP on
actual routing on site.
3. There have been separate meetings with Water and Wastewater by
the project civil consultant. An overall site plan is included with this
submittal to indicate the service to the site.
4. The building does not encroach into the mandatory 60 foot yard area
required by the 1991 UBC.
5. We acknowledge the transition from 1991 to the 1997 UBC. IDC
will be meeting with the Building Department on a regular basis to
ensure conformance with the building code.
6. Same comment as item 5.
7. We have met with the Poudre Fire Authority to review fire protection
requirements and have included their recommendations in our
proposal.

8. Halon will not be used as a fire extinguishing agent.
9. Dust control will be managed within the State guidelines. A Fugitive
Dust Permit is currently being pursued with the State Health
Department by the general contractor (Mortenson).
10. A Drainage Report has been prepared and is included with this
submittal.
11. This comment is acknowledged. Sear Brown Engineers has been in
contact with Kevin McBride regarding this issue.
12. This comment is acknowledged.
13. Utility plans are included with this submittal.
14. A Traffic Impact Study is included with this submittal.
15. The Genesis IV building will include lockers for employees.
Employee showers exist currently in adjacent buildings. HP already
provides preferential parking for vanpools and carpools. This project
will incorporate the same strategies.
Sincerely,
