RE: Modular Buildings 4 and 5 - Extensions
Dear Mike:
We have reviewed the request to for both retroactive and current extension for the
temporary placement of Modulars 4 and 5 at the southwest portion of the Fort Collins
campus at 3404 East Harmony Road. As stated in your letter, the Modulars were
originally approved for a three-year period (1998 — 2001) and eligible for two one-year
extensions (2001 — 2003) thereafter. Based on your request, we approve the following:
1. Retroactive approval for the first one-year extension dating from June 20,
2001 to June 20, 2002.
2. Approval of the second one-year extension dating from June 20, 2002 to
June 20, 2003.
If these Modulars are needed for any additional time, any continued extension must be re-
applied for in sufficient time prior to the June 20, 2003 expiration date. As always,
please call our office if you have any questions or concerns regarding these extensions.
Sincerely:

Hewlett-Packard Company would like to request extensions for the modular
buildings located at the southwest corner of our Fort Collins campus. We refer
to these as Mods 4 and 5.
The " Parking Area Landscape Compliance Plan" of our Minor Amendment for
these buildings states the following: "These plans are valid for a period of
three years after plan approval, with the option for two, one-year extensions."
The TCO for the project was issued on May 6, 1998. It reaffirmed the
requirement for the extension under the "Zoning Requirements to be
Completed By:" section, which included a written date of June 20, 1998. This
section included a note that " Modulars must be removed within 3 years,
unless extension granted." I am making the assumption that our anniversary
date is therefore June 20, 1998.
We did not request the first extension last June. I'm sorry for that and hereby
request a retroactive approval of that extension. In addition, we would like to
request the extension for the coming year, if that is appropriate, as I know we
will be utilizing these buildings beyond June 2002.
Thank you for your help on this matter.
Sincerely,
Michael Bello
