We F T. C O L L I N$, CO 805 2 5 have made changes to the plans based on your comment letter dated December 22, T E L 970 2 2 3.7 5 > > 1997. Additional clarifications are outlined below: FAX 970 2 2 3-, B 2 Comment Response 3. The sidewalk on the north side of the proposed modular buildings is shown on the plan as an extension of the existing sidewalk from the southwest entrance to Building 1. This ties the modulars to the existing campus walkway system, and will provide direct pedestrian access from Building 1 to the modular buildings without crossing parking or drive aisles. 4. Hewlett-Packard has indicated they do not wish a vehicular connection in this area. The campus has been developed with a continuous outer loop road to facilitate traffic movement to various parts of the campus. The vehicular circulation within the interior of the site is intentionally discontinuous to force traffic movements to the loop road. This configuration allows access to parking areas, service areas, and necessary fire protection areas near the buildings while maintaining pedestrian access as a priority in the interior campus. 7. The accessible route of travel has been indicated on the site plan. All proposed buildings will be equipped with an automatic fire suppresion system. design 10. The proposed modular buildings are intended to replace the existing modulars, not to be built as additional square footage. There will be some overlap in the timing of the construction of the new buildings and the removal of the old buildings in order to allow for the movement of personnel and equipment from existing modulars to the proposed modulars. Based on construction schedules, the existing modular buildings will be removed shortly after the occupancy of the new mods in Spring of 1998. You may also wish to know that the Building 4 Fab project is now considering the feasibility of using all or part of Mod 2 ( the westernmost existing modular) as its construction trailer area. If this is desired by the Building 4 project team, it will be formally requested to you as part of the submittal for that project later this month. Please feel free to call if you have any questions or need additional information. Sincerely, bha design inc. by Angela . Milewski
