Dear Mr. and Mrs. Merle:
Staff has reviewed the Douglas Manor Group Home, # 63-88, and has the fol-
lowing comments:
1. Provide the following information on the site plan:
a) Project title.
b) Date of preparation.
c) Building and lot square footage.
d) Planning and Zoning Board Certification.
e) Owner's Certification.
f) Existing zoning.
g) Vicinity map.
2. Provide an architectural elevation of the west side of the house.
3. The site plan is unclear as to how much additional paving there will be on
the site. Please indicate clearly the extent and location of proposed paving.
The storm drainage department needs this information for their review.
4. Staff has received a letter from a neighborhood resident indicating that
there are covenants in your area that would prohibit this kind of use. The
City does not enforce covenants between private parties, however, you
should be aware of them.
5. A permanent Certificate of Occupancy will not be issued until a state
license is acquired.
6. If additional telephone lines are requested, construction charges could apply.
7. Will the elderly residents be allowed to leave the home unsupervised?
8. Questions about the mental health of the elderly residents have been
raised. How would you address this issue?
