RE: Merle Group Home
Dear Mrs. Ripley:
 R6IEodIE
JUL 2 2 P
I will not be able to attend the neighborhood meeting August
4, 1988, but want to register my comments.
I own a rental property at 3030 Cumberland Court. I have
been forced to meet the zoning restrictions for many years that
limit the number of non -related persons living in the dwelling.
it would be to my advantage to be able to house up to 5 unrelated
persons in this rental house. I could make a lot more money.
If you grant this variance, I feel it only right that I be
allowed to have a variance that would allow me to house up to 5
unrelated people in my rental property. If the City is unwilling
to treat all the same, in this regard, I am not in favor of the
Merle Group Home. A double standard is never a good solution.
I also feel that if this type of variance was granted, and
others property owners were treated fairly and allowed similar
variances, there would be many negative impacts on this single
family neighborhood.
incerely,
\ q.
