Thank you for the information about the discussions
with Pace. It sounds like you are doing what you can
to work with the company but given our community requirements
the company might not be able to build here profitably.
I am not a retailer though I have been a "slavewage" worker
in several retail establishments and I follow the retail
industry's activities with interest. Though our community
expectations might cause some retail leakage if Pace chooses
not to locate here, I think that is okay. The wages paid,
the work environment and the "customer?" orientation of the
discount houses makes me evaluate this situation differently
than if the company in question was a manufacturing facility
or something like that.
