HomeMy WebLinkAboutFAIRWAY APARTMENTS - FDP210023 - SUBMITTAL DOCUMENTS - ROUND 2 - TREE MANAGEMENT PLAN TO: City of Fort Collins Forestry Department DATE: October 27, 2021 RE: Tree Removal Feasibility Letter for Fairway Apartments, Fort Collins CO The following trees are proposed to be removed and mitigated at the Fairway Apartments property located at the northwest corner of West Fairway Lane and South College Avenue. An intensive design effort was made to save as many trees on the site as possible. We were able to preserve a majority of the Honey locust trees along the northern perimeter of the site that will function as a buffer between the project and the adjacent Spradley/Barr Ford dealership. The site will include 260 mitigation trees as required by the City Forester and Fort Collins Municipal Code. We will be planting 248 new trees on site as shown on the landscape plans. The owner would like to pay a cash-in-lieu for the replacement of the 12 mitigation trees at a price of $450 each. This rate was determined by the City Forester. At $450 per tree for 12 trees, the payment in lieu is a total of $5,400. Please refer to the existing tree inventory on landscape sheet LS04 that corresponds to this list. 1.
