Dear Mr. Bessett,
This letter is to reiterate our conversation of November 16, 1988.
On November 10, 1988, the City of Fort Collins Planning and Zoning Board
recommended to the City Council a resolution and plat, under Section 31-23-220
CRS, to reserve Lots 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 of Evergreen Park (Bessett
Property). The purpose of the reservation was to preserve right-of-way in an
approved section of the Fort Collins Expressway. The acreage involved was 5.34
acres.
The Fort Collins City Council, on November 15, 1988, voted (4-3) to defeat the
Board's recommendation and plat.
The property in question is zoned I-L, Limited Industrial. The district requires
that a site plan be reviewed and approved by the Director of Planning prior to
the issuance of a building permit. After submittal of the I-L application to the
Planning Department, a decision is made within three weeks. During this
period, a plan will be reviewed to see if it meets City standards and require-
ments.
