The tract of land you have inquired about was included in the Lyle Nelson Annexation, containing about 5.36 acres, and was approved by the Fort Collins City Council on April 4, 1989. The property was requested to be annexed by Mr. Lyle Nelson who submitted an Annexation Petition to the City's Planning Department in January 1989 (a copy of the petition is attached). Mr. NelsonIs ownership of the tract of land was verified by Mr. Ward H. Fisher, Attorney at Law via a February 2, 1989, letter to Mr. Paul Eckman, Assistant City Attorney (copy attached). The annexation request was processed through the normal steps including notification of adjacent property owners on February 3, 1989, the passage of the Resolution Finding Significant Compliance by the City Council on February 7, the review and recommendation for annexation by the City's Planning and Zoning Board on February 2711 First Ordinance Readings by the City Council on March 21, and Second Ordinance Readings by the City Council on April 4. The tract of land has, thus, been officially annexed since April 14, 1989. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me. Sincerely, Kenneth G.
