There are three (3) species of trees on site including: Siberian elm, cotton wood, and Bur oak. As depicted on the mitigation plan, a total of sixteen (16) trees are to be removed. The reason for tree removal is due to the proposed development of The Quarry by Watermark development. The following trees are proposed to be removed: Tree #5, #6, #7, #8, #9, #10, #11, #12, #13, #14, #15, #16, #17, #18, #38, and #39 (as associated with the Tree Mitigation List on the Tree Mitigation Plan of this submittal). Further explanation for the removal of these trees is found below. Tree # 5. A Siberian elm to be removed due to site plan conflicts with proposed parking. 6. A Siberian elm grove to be removed due to site plan conflicts with proposed drive. 7. A Siberian elm grove to be removed due to site plan conflicts with proposed parking. 8. A Siberian elm grove to be removed due to site plan conflicts with proposed mixed-use building footprint. 9. A Siberian elm to be removed due site plan conflicts with proposed grading. 10. A Siberian elm to be removed due to site plan conflicts with proposed grading. 11. A Siberian elm to be removed due to site plan conflicts with proposed grading. 12. A cotton wood to be removed due to site plan conflicts with proposed sidewalk and drainage pan. 13. A cotton wood to be removed due to site plan conflicts with proposed parking lot and drive . 14. A Siberian elm to be removed due to site plan conflicts with proposed sidewalk. A Siberian elm to be removed due to site plan conflicts with proposed parking. 38. A Siberian elm to be removed due to site plan conflicts with proposed connecting pedestrian walk. 39. A Siberian elm to be removed due to site plan conflict with proposed connecting pedestrian walk. A more detailed depiction of the location of trees which are being removed in relation to the proposed site plan can be found on the Mitigation Plan included in this submittal. To mitigate for the removed trees which have been deemed to provide significant value by the City Forester, replacement trees will be provided at the increased size per Division 3.2.1 (F)(1) of the Fort Collins Land Use Code.
