I know that the tree issue seems to keep surfacing from time to time so
here it is once again. Please call if you have additional comments on
the following clearances.
I am enclosing the location of streetlights to be installed along
McClelland St. behind Dellenbach Chevrolet. We recommend that trees
be planted no closer than 40' to a streetlight. Shrubs and other low
growing plants can be planted closer to a streetlight.
We also recommend a clearance of 4' between the centerline of our
trench and the centerline of a tree trunk. Our trench centerline will
typically be 3 1/2' from the back of sidewalk or curb. Trees should be
planted 7 1/2' behind the new sidewalk at Dellenbachs to maintain the
proper clearance.
I am enclosing a sketch to illustrate these two clearance requirements.
