Dear Ms. Ripley:
Chief John N. Dempsey
Colorado State Patrol
700 Kipling St.
Denver, CO 80215-5865
(303) 239-4500
I have received your letter of October 2, advising us of the recent
annexation of a portion of Interstate 25 by the City of Fort Collins.
In your letter you asked if the Colorado State Patrol could continue
to provide traffic enforcement and traffic accident investigation on
this section of the Interstate.
I have discussed this with Lieutenant Holestine, the Troop Commander in
Fort Collins, and we have no problem with continuing these services.
The only stipulation we would ask is that if, at sometime in the
future a major problem arose on that stretch of I-25 we would possibly
have to ask for assistance from the city officers. Other than that
remote possibility we will be glad to help you out.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call me.
Sincerely,
John N. Dempsey, Chief
