Thanks for the clarification. The screen wall will need some type of identified access gate or door in order to get to any equipment from the
edge of the roof. When we access the roof by ladder for a fire in the roof top units, we need to be able to get to it.

See below for a photo of the roof, the parapet is virtually non-existent.
There is no access being proposed through the screen wall.

Hello Jaclyn,
We spoke very briefly about this during the meeting and although there is no code that applies to this, we must determine what is allowable
for aerial access. The 4 foot was not determined but an idea as part of solar access and pathways that we would need to review further. I
have discussed this requirement on a different project with the Assistant Fire Marshall and determined that 6 feet would be required for
aerial access on that specific project.
The intent of this code is to provide adequate space for the firefighter to place a ladder or bucket on the roof, safely exit the ladder/bucket
with equipment/tanks and be able to maneuver around the edge of the roof safely. The 4 feet of space would not allow enough room for the
firefighter to safely do this. I would suggest starting with a 6 ft pathway and we can review it from there.

During our meeting you had mentioned that typically a 4-foot setback is acceptable in allowing the required access to the roof in case of
emergency. AT&T reviewed this option and determined the 4-foot setback would have minimal impact to the function of the site. I went
ahead and updated the plans to reflect this and wanted to see if you could take a look and see if this update addresses your concerns.
