Dear Ted,
Thank you for notifying me of the neighborhood
information meeting on June 29 concerning the possible
redevelopment of the Greenhouses at 100 Grandview Ave. As a
(temporarily) absentee owner of a house immediately to the
east, I am naturally interested in any possible changes in
the neighborhood, and I have a few concerns.
Mainly I am concerned about potential after hours and
weekend noise from increased vehicle, especially truck,
traffic in the alley and on Frey and Grandview Avenues, as
well as noise from activities around the greenhouses. To a
lesser degree I'm concerned about security lighting in that
area (too much of it.) Finally, I'm interested in the long—
range outcomes for this area. I guess I just don't want to
own a house next to a "corporation yard."
I would welcome any further information about what is
discussed at the upcoming meeting. I feel confident that my
neighbors, Jennifer Kathol and Bruce Biggi, with whom I
correspond regularly, share my concerns and will be speaking
for all of us at the meeting.
Sincerely,
Charles Pinckney, Jr.
