There are eleven (11) species of trees on site including: Bur Oak, Thunderchild Crabapple, Chinkapin Oak, Honey Locust, Siberian Elm, Cottonwood, Ash Grove, Ash, Narrow Leaf Cottonwood, Crack Willow, and Juniper. As depicted on the mitigation plan, a total of two (2) trees are to be removed and eight-five (85) are to remain. The reason for tree removal is due to the proposed Jarome Street Station development. The following trees are proposed to be removed: Tree # 9 and #10 (as associated with the Tree Mitigation List on the Tree Mitigation Plan). Further explanation for the removal of these trees is found below. Tree #9 A Siberian Elm in Fair- condition to be removed due to a proposed drive isle on site. Tree #10 A Cottonwood in Fair condition is to be removed due to proposed grading and proposed parking stalls. A more detailed depiction of the location of trees which are being removed in relation to the proposed site plan can be found on the Mitigation Plan included in this submittal. To mitigate for the removed trees which have been deemed to provide significant value by the City Forester, replacement trees will be provided at the increased size per Division 3.2.1 (F)(1) of the Fort Collins Land Use Code. Sincerely, Sam Coutts, PLA Vice President of Operations Ripley Design
