Harmony Walgreens Landscape Requirements
Dear Tim and Ted,
Attached is a plan which hopefully resolves the lighting conflicts and
adds six trees to the buffer. However, my client does not understand
why we have to add six trees to the buffer area, and I don't have an
answer for him. We are required to plant one tree per 30-40 linear
feet, and if we use the thirty foot interval, and we have 473 feet of
frontage, this would amount to 16 trees in the buffer. If we add six
trees, then this would bring the total count to 19 trees in the buffer.
Are you all requiring six more trees because the six_grabapp_lep do not
count towards the tree buffer requirements? Is there some lesser amount
than the 19 trees which is reasonable?
We had thought that 12 trees in the buffer were adequate per the recent
buffer plan approval for CFM Realty (473 linear feet of frontage divided
by 40 feet spacing equals 12 trees).
For the parking lot, I have moved trees around to avoid the light poles
while still making sure that the relocated trees are shading the parking
lot. I have no options for the two light poles on the north side except
to keep them in the islands.
Perhaps I should meet with you all individually or together to discuss
this.
Respectfully,
Jason Holland, Project Manager
