CONTACTOR. PROVIDE (1) 3/4" EMPTY CONDUIT FROM CONTACTOR TO "LCI" AND
FROM "LCI" TO "BC" CONTROL PANEL. PROVIDE TWO 20A / 120V DEDICATED
CONTROL POWER CIRCUITS, FED FROM NEARBY 120/208 VOLT PANELBOARD, ONE
FOR CONTACTOR COIL(S) AND ONE FOR LIGHTING CONTROL INTERFACE(S).
MULTIPLE CONTACTOR COILS AND MULTIPLE LIGHTING CONTROL INTERFACES MAY
SHARE THE RESPECTIVE CONTROL POWER CIRCUITS. PROVIDE 20A / 1P BRANCH
BREAKERS IN SOURCE PANELBOARD (EVEN IF NOT SCHEDULED). THE COIL
VOLTAGE AND LINE VOLTAGE SHOULD MATCH FOR ALL CONTACTORS. ALL
CONTROLLED CIRCUITS SHALL BE ROUTED THROUGH CONTACTORS.
2. UTILITY METERING POINT; ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
COORDINATING TERMINATIONS WITH UTILITY. LOCATION OF METER WILL BE
COORDINATED WITH UTILITY. METERING SHALL BE INSTALLED PER LOCAL
ELECTRICAL UTILITY GUIDELINES.
3. PROVIDE 6 INCH HIGH REINFORCED CONCRETE HOUSEKEEPING PAD WITH
CHAMFERED CORNERS.
4. LOCAL EQUIPMENT DISCONNECT SWITCH, FOR RTU'S, WILL BE FURNISHED BY
ROOFTOP EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER. NOTE THAT ROOFTOP UNIT IS NOT UL
LISTED/LABELED FOR ALUMINUM WIRING CONNECTIONS. EITHER CONVERT TO
COPPER CONDUCTORS VIA A UL LISTED AND APPROVED SPLICE IN AN ADJACENT
JUNCTION BOX (IN JOIST SPACE IMMEDIATELY BELOW ROOFTOP UNIT) AS
INDICATED, OR PROVIDE COPPER CONDUCTORS THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE
CIRCUIT.
5. RECEIVE AND INSTALL ALL SWITCHBOARDS AND PANELBOARDS (WITH FEEDERS).
MARKED ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT (TAGGED WITH DB) WILL BE FURNISHED BY
OWNER.
6. PROVIDE ELECTRICAL POWER WORK FOR ROOFTOP REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
CONDENSERS, SEE ROOF PLAN AND PROTOCOL DETAIL ON E5.6. PROVIDE (1)
EMPTY 1 INCH CONDUIT FROM EACH CONDENSER TO ITS RESPECTIVE RACK OR
PROTOCOL UNIT, CONDUIT SHALL CONTAIN PULL STRING.
7. KROGER PROVIDED PAD MOUNT SERVICE TRANSFORMER. COORDINATE
INSTALLATION AND ANY ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS WITH LOCAL UTILITY
COMPANY. SEE DETAIL ON E5-SERIES DRAWINGS FOR TRANSFORMER PAD AND
RACEWAY INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS. SEE CIVIL DRAWINGS FOR
TRANSFORMER LOCATION AND ANY SITE WORK REQUIRED FOR BRINGING SERVICE
INTO TRANSFORMER EQUIPMENT.
8. PROTOCOL UNITS ARE PACKAGE SUPPLEMENTAL REFRIGERATION UNITS. RELATED
PANELBOARDS WILL UTILIZE BRANCH CIRCUIT BREAKERS THAT HAVE INTEGRAL
CONTACTS TO CONTROL DEFROST LOADS, WHICH WILL BE ELECTRONICALLY
OPERATED FROM THE RESPECTIVE PROTOCOL UNIT CONTROL SYSTEM. THESE
PANELBOARDS WILL COLLECTIVELY FEED PROTOCOL UNIT COMPRESSORS,
PROTOCOL UNIT CONTROL DEVICES, REMOTE CASE ELECTRIC DEFROSTS, ETC.
PROVIDE ALL CONDUIT, WIRING AND TERMINATION WORK ASSOCIATED WITH HOME-
RUNS FROM REMOTE CASES / EQUIPMENT. FIELD VERIFY BRANCH CIRCUIT SIZES,
TERMINATION REQUIREMENTS AND CIRCUIT DESIGNATIONS FOR ALL RELATED
LOADS FROM REFRIGERATION EQUIPMENT VENDOR. ROUTE ALL CASE LIGHTING
HOME-RUNS THROUGH CONTACTOR. UNIT REMOTE CASE FANS, REMOTE CASE
LIGHTS AND REMOTE CASE ANTI-SWEATS ARE FED FROM OTHER ELECTRICAL
PANELS AND CONTROLLED THROUGH CASE CONTROLLER.
FIELD VERIFY REQUIRED FUSES SIZES FOR THE FUSIBLE DISCONNECT SWITCHES
THAT SERVE ALL PROTOCOL EQUIPMENT. FIELD VERIFY ALL CIRCUIT / HOME-RUN
DESIGNATIONS FOR ALL LOADS FED FROM PROTOCOL EQUIPMENT. COORDINATE
ALL RELATED WORK IN DETAIL WITH PROTOCOL UNIT EQUIPMENT VENDOR PRIOR TO
ROUGH-IN.
WIRE ALL PANELBOARDS LOCATED WITHIN THE PROTOCOL UNIT, WHICH SHALL BE
FURNISHED AND INSTALLED BY REFRIGERATION EQUIPMENT VENDOR.
INSTALL AND WIRE ALL REMOTE PANELBOARDS LOCATED NEAR PROTOCOL, WHICH
SHALL BE FURNISHED BY REFRIGERATION EQUIPMENT VENDOR.
9. PROVIDE 6 INCH CONDUIT, PLUS (1) SPARE 6 INCH CONDUIT FROM METERING
CABINET TO INTERRUPTER SWITCH. PROVIDE CONDUIT AND WIRE FROM
INTERRUPTER SWITCH TO TRANSFORMER AS SHOWN. PROVIDE CONCRETE
ENCASEMENT OF ALL EXTERIOR UNDERGROUND SERVICE CONDUITS. REFER TO
SITE CIVIL PLANS FOR LOCATION AND ANY SPECIAL ELECTRICAL SERVICE
REQUIREMENTS. COORDINATE INSTALLATION OF ELECTRICAL SERVICE WITH LOCAL
UTILITY COMPANY. INTERRUPTER SWITCH AND METERING CABINET PROVIDED BY
KROGER.
10. REFER TO TRANSFORMER GROUNDING TABLE FOR GROUND WIRE SIZE.
11. NEMA 3R COMBINATION STARTER WITH FUSIBLE DISCONNECT FOR DELI HOOD.
STARTER SHALL BE 208 VOLT, 3 PHASE, NEMA 0 WITH (1) NORMALLY OPEN AND (1)
NORMALLY CLOSED AUXILIARY CONTACTS AND OVERLOADS WITH H-O-A SELECTOR
SWITCH. CONTROL POWER SHALL BE 120 VOLT. REFER TO E5-SERIES DRAWINGS

13. SHUNT TRIP BREAKERS TO BE CONTROLLED BY KIRK-KEY AT 1600 AMP GENERATOR
BACK-UP SECTION.
14. NEMA 3R BUSSED ENCLOSURE WITH QUICK CONNECT RECEPTACLES IN AND LUG /
CABLE OUT. EXTERIOR MOUNTED FOR CONNECTION OF TEMPORARY MOBILE
GENERATOR. RACEWAY SYSTEM(S) FROM MSB TO MGC SHALL BE INSTALLED
UNDERGROUND.
15. CERTIFIED PROTOCOL SHOP DRAWINGS MUST BE RECEIVED AND APPROVED PRIOR
TO ORDERING ELECTRICAL PANELS, CIRCUIT BREAKERS, FUSES, AND WIRING FOR
THE PROTOCOL UNITS. ANY DEVIATIONS IN ACTUAL APPROVED PROTOCOL SHOP
DRAWINGS VERSUS DESIGN MUST BE VERIFIED AND EQUIPMENT ORDERS ADJUSTED
TO MATCH ACTUAL SUBMITTAL DRAWINGS.
16. PROVIDE 6 INCH HIGH CONCRETE HOUSEKEEPING EQUIPMENT PAD FOR EXTERIOR
GENERATOR. PAD SHALL EXTEND OUT 6 INCHES PAST THE GENERATOR HOUSING,
COORDINATE PAD WITH GENERATOR SUBMITTAL DRAWINGS.
17. LOCATE FUSED DISCONNECT SWITCH ADJACENT TO GENERATOR, ON EXTERIOR OF
BUILDING.
18. REFER TO ESD-6 ON E5-SERIES DRAWINGS FOR ADDITIONAL WIRING
REQUIREMENTS.
19. PROVIDE CIRCUIT TO FEED FUEL CENTER. CIRCUIT SHALL EXTEND TO SITE PULLBOX
FOR CONTINUATION TO FUEL CENTER TRANSFORMER. REFER TO DRAWING E1.6.
FOR LOCATION OF BULL BOX. COORDINATE CONTINUATION OF CIRCUIT WITH SITE
