May 11, 1989
Dear Resident:
On Wednesday, May 24, 1989, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m., at the Platte River Power
Authority* on the northwest corner of Timberline Road and Horsetooth Road, the
staff of the Planning Department will hold a neighborhood information meeting to
discuss two development projects in your area.
The first topic will be the request to master plan an 80 acre parcel known as The
Timberline Farm. This parcel is bounded by Timberline Road on the west, Caribou
Drive on the north, the Harmony Road Mobile Home Park on the east and Harmony
Road on the south. The proposed land uses are single family homes, retail, and
business services. The first phase of the project will be a preliminary planned unit
development to allow 68 single family lots on 17.5 acres, located on the northern
part of the site.
The second item to be discussed is the status of the proposed bicycle/pedestrian path
located in the drainage swale between the Sunstone 4th Filing and the homes on
Arctic Fox Drive in the Fox Meadows Subdivision. There are some design constraints
associated with this path that the Sunstone developer would like to present to the
neighborhood for public input and comment.
The purpose of the meeting is to present the proposed development plan and the
status of the bike path to the neighborhood, answer questions about the project and
receive comments from the surrounding residents on this matter. The staff would
strongly urge you to attend this meeting. If you cannot attend, written comments
may be sent.
The list of affected property owners being notified for this neighborhood meeting is
derived from official records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag
time between home occupancy and record keeping, or because of rental situations, a
few affected property owners may have been missed. Please feel free to notify
your neighbor of this pending meeting so all neighbors may have the opportunity to
attend.
If you have any questions regarding this matter, please call our office at 221-6750.
Sincerely,
Ted Shepard
City Planner
