Existing Tree Removal Feasibility Letter
This letter is intended to supplement the Mitigation Plan included in the Kechter Farm Mixed Use
Townhomes Project Development Plan submittal. There are three (8) species of trees on site including:
spruce, crab apple, Austrian pine, hackberry, mugo pine, honey locust, Kentucky coffee tree, and Texas
red oak.
As depicted on the mitigation plan, a total of twenty five (25) trees are to be removed and sixteen (16)
will be transplanted. Transplanted tree locations are shown on Landscape Sheets 4 &5 of this PDP
submittal. The reason for tree removal is due to the proposed development of Kechter Farm Mixed Use
Townhomes. The following trees are proposed to be removed: Tree #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #9, #10, #11,
#12, #16, #17, #19, #20, #22, #23, #26, #28, #30, #31, #32, #33, #34, #36, and #41 (as associated with
the Tree Mitigation List on the Tree Mitigation Plan). Further explanation for the removal of these trees
is found below.

A more detailed depiction of the location of trees which are being removed in relation to the proposed
site plan can be found on the Mitigation Plan included in this submittal. To mitigate for the removed
trees which have been deemed to provide significant value by the City Forester, replacement trees will
be provided at the increased size per Division 3.2.1 (F)(1) of the Fort Collins Land Use Code.
