PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This is a request to rezone a one acre lot from C
- Commercial to R - Residential. The parcel is located north of Long Pond
on Richards Lake Road and is presently zoned Ccxrunercial.
RECOMMENDATION: Approval
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The property is located on part of Tract 29, Highland
Place Subdivision, within the Urban Growth Area. The down zoning to resi-
dential is justified by other adjacent properties which are developing as
residential. Also, there is a possibility that the Roller Skating Rink
(located to the west and zoned C - Commercial) may be redeveloped as resi-
dential contributing to the residential character of the area.

Staff has no objection to this rezoning request from comrnercial to residen-
tial and recommends approval of the Slaton Rezoning Request.
