Chemicals will be used for routine maintenance of the swimming pool. A locked equipment room located near the pool will be provided for storage of chemicals and other typical maintenance items. MSDS sheets shall be kept on site at all times in accordance with OSHA requirements. Personnel responsible for pool maintenance shall be trained in the proper use of all chemicals stored on site and be familiar with all manufacturer recommendations. Should a chemical spill occur, it shall immediately be cleaned up by authorized personnel through dilution with water or other OSHA approved methodology. The list below included the typical chemicals and quantities that will be stored in the pool equipment room: 1. pH Increaser (Sodium Carbonate, Soda Ash) 30 to 50lb bucket or bags 2. pH Decreaser (Sodium Bisulfate) 10lb bucket 3. Alkalinity Increaser (Sodium Bicarbonate, Baking Soda) 32oz bottles 4. Alkalinity Decreaser (Muriatic Acid, Sodium Bisulfate) 32oz bottles 5. Muriatic acid 64oz bottled 6. Calcium Hardness Increaser (Calcium Chloride) 50lb bucket 7. Chlorine 50lb bucket 8. Quaternary Ammonia (algicide) 32oz bottles 9. Sodium Di-Chlor 30 lb bucket 10.
