GENERAL COMMENTS AND RESPONSE
C1: The proposed design of the Development has been modified after ICON reviewed the modeling of
the proposed development. Since the design has changed, and the model has not been reviewed by
ICON, additional comments to the development may be necessary.
R1: Noted. Revised SWMM model has been included with this submittal.
C2: The proposed improvements cannot increase the spills out of the Larimer and Weld Canal. This can
be verified through the unsteady Hec-Ras model of the Latimer and Weld Canal.
The proposed improvements also cannot increase flows downstream in Cooper Slough from Existing
Conditions. This will need to be verified using both the unsteady Hec-Ras Larimer and Weld Canal
model and the EPA SWMM model of the Upper Cooper Slough basin. The spills from the Larimer and
Weld Canal model will need to be updated in the EPA SWMM model to ensure that the flow in
Cooper Slough does not increase from existing conditions with the proposed development.
R2: The updated EPA SWMM model has been included with this submittal. Martin/Martin to
coordinate with ICON to update the L&W unsteady HEC-RAS model.
C3: Future submittals should contain an electronic copy of the updated EPA SWMM and Hec-Ras
models.
R3: The updated EPA SWMM model has been included with this submittal.
C4: It is recommended that the proposed improvements be fine-tuned during preliminary and final
design to ensure that flows into Cooper Slough remain similar to existing conditions during higher
frequency runoff events such as the 2- through 10- year events.
R4: Noted. Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling will be continually updated and fine-tuned throughout
the planning and design process.
