GENERAL NOTES:
1. THE WATERLINE ALIGNMENT SHOWN ON THIS PLAN DELINEATES THE
DESIGN INTENT. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL POT-HOLE EXISTING UTILITIES
WITHIN THIS ALIGNMENT CORRIDOR TO HORIZONTALLY AND VERTICALLY
LOCATE UNDERGROUND UTILITIES FOR POTENTIAL CONFLICTS. IF UTILITY
CONFLICTS ARE DISCOVERED, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH
THE ENGINEER AND FIELD ADJUST THE ALIGNMENT AS NECESSARY. THE
CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE AN AS-BUILT SURVEY OF THE CONSTRUCTED
WATERLINE ALIGNMENT AT THE COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION.
EXISTING UTILITIES SHALL BE PROTECTED AND REMAIN IN SERVICE AND
INTACT DURING CONSTRUCTION.
2. CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE AND REPLACE IN-KIND ANY EXISTING
IRRIGATOIN SPRINKLER HEADS, VALVES, CONTROL BOXES, AND IRRIGATION
LINES IMPACTED BY CONSTRUCTION.
3. CONTRACTOR SHALL PLACE TEMPORARY EROSION CONTROL BMP'S SUCH
AS SILT FENCE, WADDLES, AND AREA INLET PROTECTION AS PER THE
DETAILS FOR ANY OPEN CUT TRENCHES OR PITS DURING CONSTRUCTION.
4. CONTRACTOR SHALL CUT AND PATCH IN-KIND ANY EXISTING ASPHALT OR
CONCRETE PAVEMENT THAT MAY BE IMPACTED DUE TO OPEN CUT
TRENCHES OR PITS. ASPHALT PAVEMENT PATCH WORK SHALL BE PLACED
WITH 6” FULL DEPTH HOT MIX ASPHALT (HMA) USING 3” CDOT GRADE SX ON
THE TOP LIFT AND 3” CDOT GRADE S ON THE BOTTOM LIFT. CONCRETE
PAVEMENT SHALL BE PLACED WITH 8” THICK CONCRETE.
5. CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE AND REPLACE IN-KIND ANY EXISTING CURB
AND GUTTER, CONCRETE SIDEWALK, CONCRETE PADS, OR LANDSCAPE
HARD SURFACES THAT MAY BE IMPACTED DUE TO OPEN CUT TRENCHES
OR PITS.
6. CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE AND REPLACE IN-KIND ANY EXISTING
LANDSCAPING INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO SOD, TREES, SHRUBS, OR
OTHER PLANTINGS THAT MAY BE IMPACTED DUE TO OPEN CUT TRENCHES
OR PITS.
7. CONTRACTOR SHALL PLACE 48” HIGH ORANGE CONSTRUCTION FENCING
AROUND ALL CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES DURING CONSTRUCTION.
8. CONTRACTOR SHALL MAINTAIN PEDESTRIAN AND VEHICLE ACCESS AS
CURRENTLY EXISTS THROUGHOUT THE CONSTRUCTION PERIOD. A
MINIMUM OF ONE LANE SHALL REMAIN OPEN AT ALL TIMES.
