Who We Are
Ripley Design Inc. is an established local landscape
architectural firm. Our office has many talented
landscape architects, planners and designers. We
have provided planning and design services to both
public and private sector clients in Northern Colorado
for over twenty-five years. We offer a wide range of
services aimed at helping clients achieve their visions
and goals. Services include land planning, urban
design, landscape architecture, and entitlement.
The talented design team at Ripley Design Inc. is
committed to creative problem solving, design
excellence, and above all client satisfaction. By
applying our core values of excellence, innovation,
and responsiveness to every project, we are able to
provide cutting edge yet practical design solutions.
The firm is committed to stewardship of the environment
through maintaining and encouraging green practices
in the office, striving to incorporate eco-friendly design
solutions into projects and by being community leaders
in understanding and promoting environmentally
responsible practices.
Successful collaboration with other design professionals
is another hallmark of our success. We are often
coordinating and leading the design team at the
beginning of a project as the conceptual site plan
evolves. We believe working closely with architects,
civil engineers, traffic engineers, and environmental
consultants in a cooperative, problem solving process
that drives creative and successful design solutions. In
addition, everyone at Ripley Design Inc. understands
the importance of producing work on time and within
budget.

Ripley will communicate directly with City, Town or County
plan review staff to get your project approved, and we’ll
lay out the requirements in language you can understand.
We will lead your design team through the required
meetings and submittals. We will prepare and continually
maintain a project schedule so you will know the status of
your development. We will advise on strategy when site
issues arise. We will prepare and present your project at
public hearings. Lastly, we will guide the project through
final approvals and assist in acquisition of the development
construction permits necessary for the construction of your
project to begin.
Land Planning
Development codes are our expertise. Land use codes
govern site, landscape and building design criteria. With
our code expertise, we will lead the design of the site and
landscape. We work closely with the civil engineer and
architect in the placement of utilities, storm water facilities
and the building. Ripley Design will prepare the necessary
land use charts and tables and plans required by the local
review agency. We will prepare the project narratives and
objectives. And, if required we will prepare and defend
variance and modification requests.
Site, Landscape and Amenity Design
As it says in our company name, we are designers. From your
first step outside the building, our realm begins. The feel of
the surface you set your foot upon; the shade or sunlight
you encounter; the view that stands before you – all of these
elements are crucial components of design we constantly
consider. Our client’s vision is paramount…and we bring it to
life. Whether it is a compelling network of tree lined streets,
trails flanked by native flora, pools and patios, community
parks and playgrounds or an intimate memorial, we consider
how the user engages the space. Does it exude the vibe or
concept we and our client are trying to convey?
Design Team
Civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, photometric
design, traffic engineering, environmental reports,
architecture…with the professional contacts we have made
over 25 years of practice, we can analyze the needs of your
project and solicit proposal from the necessary professionals
