Hoffman Mill – Fueling Facilities
Statement of Planning Objectives
May 30, 2018
Proposal to provide a private (City) vehicle fueling facilities for 3 departments, Natural Areas,
Forestry & Streets, (Hoffman Mill recycling center).
This site would provide for 3 above grade fueling tanks and dispensers, gasoline and 2-diesel.
Concrete driveways would provide for drive-thru access from the east and west, off Hoffman
Mill Road, the primary access is from Lemay Avenue to the west. There would be no net traffic
increase, all three departments are currently accessing these same locations for NAD Nix Farm
site and current reclamation facilities.
Stormwater detention and water quality pond would be provided on-site with historical site
drainage extending to the east to existing ponds.
Site lighting, security fencing and electronic controlled access would be provided. There are no
building structures with this site development application.
Dryland shrubs, trees, native grasses and boulders will be provided at the frontage areas.
Additional (8) landscaping trees are noted and would be provided along the CLPoudre river trail
to the north, this installation would be coordinated with Open Space, Trails and Natural Areas
Department Staff.
The use is compatible with adjacent properties and uses. The primary orientation is to the
south, that being the Railroad tracks/property.
Facilities will be permitted and licensed through the State. Containment is provided in the new
pavement and site design.
