The plan, approved by the planning and zoning board on June 15, 2017 provides for 284 bikes to be stored on patios and balconies of the majority of the units, with an additional 39 bikes to be stored in the garages of the townhouse units, for a total of 323 covered spaces, exceeding the required amount of 318 spaces. To better meet the intent of the Land Use Code 3.2.2 (C)(4) Bicycle Facilities, Crowne is instead propos- ing to install bike racks in 15 locations within the multi-family buildings. These locations are in close prox- imity to the building entrances, and are all located on the first floor of the structures. In addition we will provide bike storage in all of the multi-family garages (not previously counted), and finally, we will convert three garages to bike storage facilities. The storage in the townhouse garages would be unchanged.
