Requirement: .75 parking spaces per tenant.
Problem: This home has a driveway 17.5’ wide and 21’ deep (Room for 2 vehicles)
which doesn’t meet the requirement for the 4 tenants being applied for. (3 spaces
needed, 2 available)
Solution: The cul-de-sac 2718 Balmoral Ct. is located on has 240’ of diagonal parking
regularly used by the tenants of the 9 homes on the cul-de-sac and their visitors. If these
parking spots were assumed to measure 9.1’ wide, that would mean 240’ of diagonal
parking space creates 26 additional parking spaces for these 9 homes. This would mean
each home has access to 2.8 additional parking spots. This would bring the parking
spaces available to this home up to 4.8 which would exceed the 3 needed.
Request: In considering the number of parking spaces available to tenants at 2718
Balmoral Ct, please include the cul-de-sac parking in the calculations.
Data points: We have counted cars on our cul-de-sac at 9pm on the following dates:
June 19th, 2017 1 car & June 24th, 2017 1 car.
