To Whom It May Concern:
The proposed development is a senior housing apartment complex. Of onsite
concern is an approximate 800 square foot private swimming pool located in a stand-alone pool
building that requires regular chemical maintenance. All chemicals associated with pool
maintenance are stored in the pool equipment room in. the rear of the pool building. The pool
equipment room remains locked and only accessible by authorized staff members. Authorized
staff members are trained in the Use and storage of the chemicals. MSDS sheets for all chemicals
are kept on site per OSHA.
The following is a standard list of chemicals stored in the pool equipment roorn:
1, Muratic Acid- 4 gallons
2, Chlorine- 2 gallons
3, Alkaline- 30 pounds
4, PH Up- 30 Pounds
5, Calcium Hardness- 3 pounds
6, Stabilizer- 10 pounds
7, PH Down- 10 pounds
8, Soda Ash- 50 pounds
There is the potential that a chemical spill occurs when the staff is handling said chemicals. Any
spill should be minimal and cleaned by on site staff through water dilution,
