General notes this sheet:
1. All electrical work shall be in accordance with the 2011 National Electrical Code
(NEC), local municipal code, and local fire district regulations..
2. All equipment shall be listed and labeled per recognized electrical testing laboratory
and installed per the listing requirements and the manufacturer's instructions.
3. All inverters shall be IEEE 929-2000, IEEE 1547, and UL 1741 compliant.
4. All outdoor equipment shall be minimum NEMA 3R including outdoor mounted
transition boxes, combiner boxes, disconnect switches, and inverters.
5. All equipment shall be properly grounded per 2011 NEC Articles 250, 690, and 705.
6. All circuits connected to more than one source shall have overcurrent devices
located so as to provide overcurrent protection from all sources as required per 2011
NEC Art. 690.9(A).
7. The PV system shall backfeed the distribution system on site per the requirements
of 2011 NEC Art. 690.64(A). All backfeed circuit breakers shall be identified as such and
shall be secured in place.
8. All PV system conductors and terminations shall be rated for 75ºC minimum.
9. Provide weatherproof phenolic engraved plaques providing the location of the
service disconnecting means and the photovoltaic system disconnecting means as
required per 2011 NEC Art. 690.56(B).
10. Provide weatherproof phenolic engraved plaques at each PV system disconnect as
required per 2011 NEC Art. 690.14(C)(2).
11. Provide a weatherproof phenolic engraved plaque at the PV system disconnecting
means as required per 2011 NEC 690.53 as follows:

14. All solar PV system wiring shall be copper.
15. Contractor is responsible for providing all related equipment, cables, connectors,
terminations, conduits, boxes, wireways, and all other equipment and accessories
required for a complete and operational solar photovoltaic system.
16. The drawings in general are diagrammatic and indicate general arrangement of the
equipment and work included. The intent of the drawings is to indicate size, capacity,
approximate location, and general relationship; not exact installation details or physical
placement.
