1. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FOLLOW THE LANDSCAPE PLAN AS CLOSELY AS POSSIBLE. ANY DISCREPANCY IN
THE PLAN VS. THE FIELD CONDITIONS SHALL BE REPORTED TO THE OWNERS REPRESENTATIVE
IMMEDIATELY.
2. NOTIFY THE OWNERS REPRESENTATIVE FOR INSPECTION AND APPROVAL OF LANDSCAPE MATERIAL AND
IRRIGATION PRODUCTS PRIOR TO INSTALLATION.
3. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL WARRANTY THE PLANT MATERIAL, WORKMANSHIP, AND THE IRRIGATION SYSTEM
FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR(S).
4. ALL LANDSCAPE AREAS ARE TO RECEIVE SOIL PREPARATION PER THE SPECIFICATIONS.
5. SHRUB BEDS ARE TO BE CONTAINED BY 1/8" X 4" INTERLOCKING TYPE STEEL EDGER. (RYERSON OR
APPROVED EQUAL). EDGER IS NOT TO BE INSTALLED WHEN BED IS ADJACENT TO CURBS, WALLS, OR
WALKS.
6. ALL SHRUB BEDS ARE TO BE MULCHED WITH 1 1/2" MOUNTAIN GRANITE ROCK AS SUPPLIED BY PIONEER
SAND AND GRAVEL / SOUTHWEST SOILS. WEED CONTROL FABRIC IS REQUIRED IN ALL SHRUB BEDS
WHERE ROCK MULCH IS USED.
7. ALL TREES ARE TO BE STAKED AND GUYED PER DETAILS FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR. CONTRACTOR
SHALL REMOVE ALL STAKING AND GUYING, PRIOR TO THE FINAL WALK THROUGH, OR AT THE OWNER'S
REQUEST.
8. DO NOT DISTURB EXISTING PAVING, LIGHTING, LANDSCAPE, OR IRRIGATION THAT EXISTS ADJACENT TO
THE SITE UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED ON PLANS. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE
CAUSED TO EXISTING SITE CONDITIONS.
9. CALL UTILITY LOCATORS PRIOR TO ANY CONSTRUCTION. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST
TO REPAIR ANY UTILITIES DAMAGED DUE TO HIS CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES.
10. TREES SHALL NOT BE LOCATED IN DRAINAGE SWALES, DRAINAGE AREAS, UTILITY EASEMENTS, OR WITHIN
10' OF STORM SEWER LINES. CONTACT THE OWNERS REPRESENTATIVE FOR RELOCATION OF PLANTS IN
QUESTIONABLE AREAS.
11. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIR OF ANY OF THEIR TRENCHES OR
EXCAVATIONS THAT SETTLE.
12. IF DISCREPANCIES EXIST BETWEEN WRITTEN AND GRAPHIC QUANTITIES, THE GREATER QUANTITY SHALL
TAKE PRECEDENT.
13. CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE ALL SEDIMENT, MUD, AND CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS THAT ACCUMULATES
OUTSIDE OF LANDSCAPE AREAS AS A RESULT OF THEIR OPERATIONS. CONTRACTOR MUST ADHERE TO
EROSION CONTROL MEASURES ON THE SITE. ANY ADVERSE CONDITIONS CAUSED BY THE CONTRACTORS
OPERATIONS MUST BE REMEDIED IMMEDIATELY.
14. ANY MAJOR CHANGES MADE TO THE SITE PLAN AS A RESULT OF FIELD CONDITIONS SHALL BE ON THE
AS-BUILTS OF THE CONSTRUCTION DRAWING SET. AS BUILT CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS FOR THE
LANDSCAPE AND IRRIGATION SHALL BE PREPARED, BY CONTRACTOR, PRIOR TO FINAL ACCEPTANCE.
15. GRADING SHALL BE SMOOTH-FLOWING WITH POSITIVE DRAINAGE IN ALL AREAS. THE CONTRACTOR IS TO
NOTIFY THE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT TO CLARIFY ANY PROBLEMS THAT MAY ARISE REGARDING DRAINAGE.
16. SWALES ARE TO HAVE A 2% MINIMUM SLOPE. NOTIFY OWNERS REPRESENTATIVE IMMEDIATELY IF
DISCREPANCIES EXIST.
17. NO PLANT MATERIAL WITH MATURE GROWTH GREATER THAN THREE (3) FEET IN HEIGHT SHALL BE PLANTED
WITHIN POTABLE WATER, SANITARY SEWER, OR NON-POTABLE IRRIGATION EASEMENTS.
18. NO SHRUBS SHALL BE PLANTED WITHIN FIVE (5) FEET OR TREES WITHIN TEN (10) FEET OF POTABLE AND
NON-POTABLEWATER METERS, FIRE HYDRANTS, SANITARY SEWER MANHOLES, OR POTABLE WATER,
SANITARY SEWER, AND NON-POTABLE IRRIGATION MAINS AND SERVICES.
