Of onsite concern is an approximate 5,000 square foot private swimming pool that requires regular chemical maintenance. An approximate 30 foot by 30 foot outdoor pavilion directly adjacent to the pool consists of an outdoor seating area, bathrooms, and a pool equipment room. All chemicals associated with pool maintenance are stored in the pool equipment room in the rear of the pavilion building. The pool equipment room remains locked and only accessible by authorized staff members. Authorized staff members are trained in the use and storage of the pool maintenance chemicals. Chemicals are purchased, delivered to the site and stored only by authorized staff. MSDS Sheets for all chemicals are kept on site per OSHA. The following standard list of chemicals is what most likely will be found in the pool equipment room: (I) -Active Cleaning Granules, {Calcium Hypochlorite ... 68%, other ... 32%}, "Shock", SO# Bucket (I) - Chlorinating Tablets, {Trichloro-s-triazinetrione ... 95%, other ... 3%}, "3-in Chlorine Disc", 50# Bucket (I) - Stabilizer Conditioner, 10# Jug Pail (1) - Turbo Blue Clarifier, 1 qt Bottle (I) - Alkaline Booster, 30# Bucket Please note this list is not comprehensive and depending on environmental and design conditions may vary. Possible onsite issues could be a spill of one or more of the chemicals either in the pool equipment room or on or around the pool itself. Any spill of that type should be able to be cleaned by onsite staff through water dilution as the quantities are small. Sincerely, Matthew Kelly Director - Facilities Campus Apartments Management LLC
