HomeMy WebLinkAboutREGISTRY RIDGE SIXTH FILING (FIFTH FILING, FIRST REPLAT) - MAJOR AMEND. - MJA120002 - SUBMITTAL DOCUMENTS - ROUND 2 - TRAFFIC STUDYTrip Generation, 8th Edition, ITE was used to estimate the daily and peak hour trip generation for Registry Ridge 5th Filing. From this reference, the equations for Single Family Detached (Code 210) were used to estimate the daily and peak hour trip generation as shown in Table 2. The trip generation resulted in 322 daily trip ends, 29 morning peak hour trip ends, and 33 afternoon peak hour trip ends. The trip distribution for Registry Ridge 5th Filing is shown in Figure 4. Figure 5 shows the site generated peak hour traffic. Background traffic projections for the short range (2017) future horizon were obtained by factoring the current traffic volumes by two percent per year. Figure 6 shows the short range (2017) background peak hour traffic at the Shields/Trilby intersection. The traffic volumes generated by the proposed Registry Ridge 5th Filing were added to the background traffic volumes to produce the total traffic volume forecasts for the short range (2017) future. Figure 7 shows the short range (2017) total peak hour traffic at the Shields/Trilby intersection. Table 3 shows the short range (2017) background morning and afternoon peak hour operation at the Shields/Trilby intersection. The Shields/Trilby intersection will operate at acceptable levels of service. Calculation forms for these analyses are provided in Appendix C. Table 4 shows the short range (2017) total morning and afternoon peak hour operation at the Shields/Trilby intersection. The Shields/Trilby intersection will operate at acceptable levels of service. Calculation forms for these analyses are provided in Appendix D. It is concluded that the Shields/Trilby intersection will operate acceptably with recommended geometry and control. The Shields/Trilby intersection will meet the Fort Collins criteria of level of service D or better during the peak hours with regard to operation.
