Magnolia Court Fort Collins, Colorado April 15, 1994 City Planning and Zoning Board City of Fort Collins, Colorado P.O. Box 580,. Fort Collins, CO 8052209580 Dear P and Z Department: 80521-2231 L6000J/G p aAt 2 0 lass I received your communication today in the midst of a busy schedule which reminds me that we are the taxpayers and I do appreciate being consulted about preferences in housing developments in our back yards areas. The PuD HILLCREST - Preliminary, Number 6-93A is a very interesting document, considering the discussions that have preceeded. Especially since objections were raised by a good number of single-family home owners who purchased their property with covenants that limit the developments in the area that was.once Maxwell property and now belongs to the City of Fort Collins, so far as I have been able to learn, which somehow makes the -City of Fort Collins free to try to intimidate us into accepting duplezes now that we have made it very clear that row housing isn't acceptable. I am still out of sorts about the kind of high=handed treatment I received as a single oocupant of my two-story home when I wanted to keep a stove and a tenant couple in the lower half of my home, all because neighbors were unhappy because they were not able to force me by harassing methods to move. Now I am joined sentiment -wise with two other widows who live on the south and east side of me in their supposedly single-family oriented homes, but I haven't checked as frequently as they do on my arrangements for living as they seem to do, peering from windows at every entrance and exit that is made by my tenant who let one of them know in no uncertain terms how she feels about being watched constantly. (Ihave no other comments that are pertinent, but neighbor trouble usually stems from people not getting the facts of one's living arrangements and .then magnifying,:them, complaining loudly to al their neighbors, or actually distorting information on purpose. If I have ever been guilty of.such.tactics, I am not aware © having done so. This letter is one way of serving notice to anyone in your department.that.if_they want to come around to see how I live, they have an open...invitation to drop in for tea, coffee, or whatever; else I have in my hands or in the refrigerator and it:won't be alcoholic, but it still might pass inspection of the P 'and,Z personnel. I usually have cake or pie too and some of it gets tjossed to the irds f nobody gets around to visit., Sincerely.yours, (Mrs.) Veda N.
