The Engineering Department will allow you to use the existing asphalt for purposes of a sidewalk around the west and north property lines, on the condition that the asphalt is in good condition after construction of the parking lot islands. If the asphalt is not in good condition, the applicant will be required to patch or repair asphalt as needed. A concrete walk will be required with future expansion or change in use. 2. The Engineering Department highly recommends that the drive- way cuts be constructed of concrete. Concrete will wear better and will protect the asphalt walk near drive crossings better than asphalt would. Concrete driveways, at a minimum from the street to the property line, will be required with any future expan1 on or change in use. 3. Please submit a letter addressed to Glen Schlueter at the Stormwater Utility, explaining the proposed project and stating whether there will be an increase in the amount of impervious surface or a change in flow patterns for drainage. Either submit the letter to Planning or submit to Stormwater and send me a copy for the file. This concludes staff comments at this time. A Minor Subdivision Public Hearing has been scheduled for Thursday, March 25, 1993. The Hearing will take place in the Planning Department conference room upstairs at 281 North College Avenue. If you have any questions about these comments please contact me at 221-6750 to set up a time to discuss them.
