Dear Art:
Based on our discussions about taking the University's student housing project to the Planning
and Zoning Board for review, I' asked Planning staff to put together a schedule of that process.
They have provided the following information:
April 5 - Submit the project to the City; the submittal would be the equivalent of a preliminary
site, landscape and architectural plans.
April 26 - Planning and Zoning Board meeting, where we would be asking the Board to do an
advisory review looking at the site layout, landscape and architectural concept; ideally we'd like
to know from an engineering standpoint that the basic site design could work before presenting
it to the Board.
This schedule would not cause the University any delays, and it provides a higher level of input
and review. For these reasons, and because it is consistent with our, goals, objectives and
values, we would like for you to submit the project to the Planning and Zoning Board for an
"advisory opinion."
Please give me a call if I can provide additional information or answer any questions or concerns
you might have.
