Dear Greg:
We have completed our review of the proposed CSU Condensate
Replacement and have these comments for you:
1. The fire hydrant located west of 155 Lake is identified as a
City hydrant, while our maps indicate it belongs to CSU.
2. Several sewer services which connect from the City's main to
CSU buildings along Lake Street may be affected by this
construction.
3. The Stormwater Utility has provided portions of inventory maps
which show facilities in the area of construction. If you have any
questions, please contact Rodney Albers of the Stormwater Utility,
at 221-6589.
4. There does not appear to be a sidewalk along Lake Street, so
the planned construction would cause no conflicts; however, there
may be a desire for sidewalk here in the future, so adequate space
should be provided to allow for future sidewalk installation.
5. Either an approved utility plan (mylar submitted to city for
sign off on Sheet U-3) must be submitted, or a permit taken out
with the Engineering Department, for permission to excavate in the
public right-of-way. An encroachment permit (also issued by
Engineering) for permission to install private utilities in the
public right-of-way will also be needed. Both permits are issued
thru Dave Stringer, Chief Construction Inspector, of the
Engineering Department. Sheet M-3 should be attached to permit
applications as an exhibit.
If you have any questions, please contact Kerrie Ashbeck or myself,
at 221-6750.
