The configuration of the roof drain pipe configuration is concerning. Utilities
would prefer to see these pipes, which are running parallel to the building, at
least 6-feet away from the foundation wall. We will defer to your structural or
geotechnical engineer for the design of the building foundation regarding the
placement of roof drain lines near the foundation walls and the minimum
separation they will allow. For hearing we would like a simple confirmation, in
writing, of the minimum allowed separation.
CCG Response: Placing the roof drain piping six (6) feet from the foundation wall will interfere with the
9-foot utility easements, other utilities, and landscaping. The structural and/or geotechnical enginee

There are many locations where shrubs are within 4-feet of buried roof drain
storm pipes. Please consider the long-term maintenance needs of these pipes.
We suggest, but do not require, that you revise the plans so that there is 4-ft
clear between storm pipes and shrubs.
RMS Response: CertainTeed Yelomine restrained joint pipe product (or something similar) will be used to
further provide protection from roof drain leaks and breaks. Shrubs have been moved to provide as much
spacing as possible with a few exceptions to the roof drain. An attempt to only locate ornamental grasses
over the roof drains was made. Shrubs typically have root systems 18" deep while the roof drains will be 3'
or more in depth so we do not see heavy conflict with the proposed.

Since the project requires 3-Phase power, the primary line will need to be
intercepted along the eastern property line or along McHugh Street. If the
preferred location is along the eastern property line, a above ground switch
cabinet with bollards would need to be installed. If the preferred location is
along McHugh Street, an underground vault could be installed within the
proposed parkway.
G2CE Response: Service entrance is planned for north entry. McHugh Street is likely a better location. This
facility could be engineered around single-phase power if three-phase is problematic.

The proposed grading around the building has 3:1 slopes at many locations.
Please revise design so that these slopes are 4:1 max.
CCG Response: Tiie proposed grading around the majority of the site has been modified to a maximum of
4:1 as requested. This was accomplished by adding cobbles (12-15" high) along McHugh. E. Elizabeth.
and a portion of Patton Street. There are a few areas where the slopes are between 3. 1 and 4.1 due to
the proximity to the stairs and walks.
