We will be locating all hazardous materials in a "flammable liquid" storage cabinet(s) in a "flammable liquid" storage room. There will be no storage of hazardous materials outside the building. J. Our location is approximately located 2000 plus feet to the Cache La Poudre River - as the crow flies. X. Our soils report would answer ground water questions. L. Our new facility will be meeting all of the hazardous storage room requirements of the Building Dept. and Fire/Hazardous Materials Dept. codes. 2. Incident Scenarios: A. There is always a risk of fire or explosion. Our facility has a safety training committee which makes our employees aware of potential problems. Warning signage and labels will be in plain site. Ventilation for both our dust collection systems and spray booth areas are both safety and quality oriented. The fire sprinkler system and hazardous materials cabinets and rooms should minimize the potential for either. B. Contaminated water should only be generated in a hazardous materials storage room. The containment of such water and or materials from a fire extinguished by water will be met by building or fire codes requiring curb containment or storage tanks- C. The release of toxic gases, I feel is a minimum risk due to our small quantities and our largest container being 55 gallons. With hazardous materials room and sprinkler systems. D. Our worst case condition a dropped 55 gallon drum at our loading dock or storage room which none should migrate of site or to exposed soil or water. E. Transportation in and out of any hazardous materials would be on Buckingham St.'ito Lemay Ave. to Highway 14. 3. Mitigation In summation we feel that our efforts for proper storage, handling, fire protection, containment and safety programs reduce risk. Containment of any hazardous materials migration are greatly affected by our large site, small quantities of hazardous materials, hazardous materials cabinets and storage rooms, and sprinkler systems. cusi-.or1 CABINETS & MILLWORKM 125 AIRPARK DRIVE • FORT COLLINS, CO 80524 (303) 484-9668 July 20, 1993 City of Fort Collins Fire Authority Re: Hazardous Materials Impact Analysis Ron Gonzolas, I will be trying to answer the Hazardous Material Impactl Analysis questions in the following outline format. 1.
