Dear Resident,
On Monday, December 6, 7:00 p.m., at the New Beginnings building
(1225 Redwood Drive)*, staff of the Planning Department will hold
a neighborhood information meeting to discuss a development
proposal in your neighborhood. The applicant will be in attendance
to answer questions you might have.
The proposal is to locate the Larimer County Community Corrections
Department administrative and Adult Service functions in the
existing New Beginnings building. The facility would house 62
adult felony offenders and 26 employees. The Larimer County
Community Corrections Department is charged with the delivery of
local correctional services to adult and juvenile offenders in
various stages of the criminal justice process.
The property is currently developed as the New Beginnings Planned
Unit Development (PUD) and is zoned RMP, Planned Residential Medium
Density. Because the existing building is part of an existing PUD,
this project will also be reviewed using guidelines and criteria of
the Land Development Guidance System (LDGS).
The list of affected property owners being notified for this
neighborhood meeting is derived from official records at the
Larimer County Assessor's Office. Because of the lag time between
property sales and record keeping, or because of rental situations,
a few affected property owners and residences may have been missed.
Please feel free to notify your neighbors of this pending meeting
so that all neighbors may have the opportunity to attend.
