The proposed project is commonly known as Jacob Center at New Beginnings P.U.D. - Referral of an Administrative Change, #56-93. The applicant is requesting a youth placement center for 40 youths in the former drug and alcohol treatment center known as New Beginnings PUD, located at the northwest corner of Conifer and Redwood Streets. No exterior changes are being proposed to the building, site or landscape plans. The facility would house and provide schooling, counseling and training for juveniles selected by the State and County as being candidates for re -integration into society. Both the Planning and Zoning Board and the City Planning Staff consider your input on this matter, as well as your neighbor's input, an extremely important element in the City's review of this proposal. If you are unable to attend the public hearing, written comments are welcome.
