Department: Traffic Operation Contact: Martina Wilkinson, 970-221-6887, mwilkinson@fcgov.com Topic: General Comment Number: 1 Comment Originated 01 /31 /2019: As long as this was one lot, we would have asked for access to be from Birch. By creating two lots, it will likely necessitate an access off of Shields. This is not ideal -it's an arterial without a left turn lane. It would our preference if the new northern lot could have a cross access to the north or south. If that's not possible, then we reserve the right to restrict the access on Shields to a right -in, right -out (without a median in Shields the restricting curbing will need to be built on the parcel). Work with the Engineering department on the appropriate language for the plan sheet. The previous plat depicted a jog in the platted boundary that is now shown as unplatted. The previous plat also dedicated right-of-way to accommodate future construction of a widened street turn ("knuckle") that's not represented as having been dedicated. Please clarify the discrepancy.
