In general, Union Pacific has no objections to the conception of the project. However, two design criteria need
to be given attention.
First, for safety concerns, if the southwest parking lot is alternatively used for community events/recreational
purposes, we respectfully request a suitable fence barrier be required to be constructed to surround the lot in hopes of
deterring the public from exploring the Railroad's right-of-way.
Secondly, it appears from the plans that grading and/or drainage flow will be directed westerly toward the
Railroad's property. In this regard, I wish to alert the developers that no grading or drainage shall be designed to impact
the Railroad's right-of-way without an agreement or written approval from the Railroad of the design and impact of the
grading/drainage.
